Led by Dr. Michael Weeden, the team of eye doctors and eye care professionals at Corinth Eye Clinic in Corinth, MS, and Weeden Eye Clinic in New Albany, MS is committed to providing high-quality, personalized eye health and vision care for babies, children, teenagers, adults, and seniors in a friendly environment.

Comprehensive eye health and vision care is a critical part of your overall health care, on par with receiving annual health exams with your primary care physician. Through an eye exam, our eye doctors can spot early warning signs and manifestations of more than 270 systemic and chronic diseases, including diabetes, high blood pressure, autoimmune diseases, and certain cancers.

Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Michael Weeden

Owner | Optometrist

Dr. Michael Weeden grew up in New Albany, MS, and currently resides with his wife, June and their 3 children in Corinth, MS. Dr. Weeden obtained an Associate in Arts in 1984 before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Mississippi. In 1992, Dr. Weeden graduated as a Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Kelli Wooten Mullen

Optometrist

Originally from Bruce, MS, Dr. Mullen joined Weeden Eye Clinic in November 2018. Dr. Mullen received her Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University in 2010. Dr. Mullen and her husband Dylan have one daughter named Tyler and currently live in Ingomar, MS.

Dr. Lauren Coleman Ferrell

Optometrist

Dr. Ferrell is a graduate of Mississippi State University and The University of North Alabama School of Optometry. She is happily married to Ben Ferrell and they reside in Corinth.

Dr. Morgan Mathis

Optometrist

Born and raised in Savannah, TN
Lives in Pickwick, TN with my fiancé and rescue puppy
Undergrad: University of Tennessee at Knoxville- Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a Chemistry minor; graduated in May 2019

More about Dr. Morgan Mathis

Optometry school: Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN; Graduated Summa Cum Laude; I was in the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor’s Society and received the AAOF VSP Practice Excellence Award at the American Academy of Optometry meeting in San Diego in 2022. Graduated in May 2023
Working at the Corinth office 3 days a week and New Albany office 2 days a week.

I like to say I had little sister syndrome when deciding to pursue optometry. My older sister was applying to optometry school at the time and she was explaining how great of a field optometry is and since that day, I’ve never looked back. Being able to improve people’s vision, whether it be from prescribing glasses/contacts or managing eye disease, has been the most rewarding experience and I couldn’t imagine a better career. I am so excited to meet and serve the people of Corinth and New Albany, MS.
